About the collection:
The inspiration for the collection was the figure of Le Corbusier and the color palette created by the architect.
The "Le Corbusier's Cats" color palette is a collection of 63 colors designed by the Swiss architect and designer Le Corbusier. This set was created in 1931 and is still used today as a tool for designing and selecting colors in architecture and interior design. This palette consists of 12 primary colors and 51 secondary shades. Each color has its own number and name, which facilitates identification and communication between designers.
Le Corbusier, born Charles-Édouard Jeanneret-Gris, was a Swiss-French architect, urban planner, furniture designer and painter, considered one of the most influential architects of the 20th century. He was born in 1887 and died in 1965. His works had a huge impact on the development of modernist architecture. He was known for his pursuit of functionality, simplicity of form and harmony between architecture and the surrounding environment. His contributions to architecture include such famous works as the Villa Savoye in France, the Cité Radieuse in Marseille, and the Chapel of Notre-Dame-du-Haut in Ronchamp. His works not only define the modern approach to architecture, but also influenced the fields of design and urban planning.
